Why clean your outdoor bins?
Here on the Yorkshire Coast, we have a number of bins for different materials. We have green bins for domestic waste and these tend to be the ones that need cleaning the most. We have blue bins for recyclable materials, and while these tend not to get as messy, they need a thorough clean from time to time. Also, some properties have brown bins for garden waste. These need cleaning on a regular basis due to the materials they carry.

We charge an amount per bin and we post an invoice through your door which you can pay online. Or you can call us to pay over the phone.

- Can I just have one of my bins cleaned regularly?
Absolutely! You might prefer only your green bin to be cleaned once a month, and that is fine. What many of customer notice is that their other bins (blue and/or brown) look dirty and so they ask us to clean them regularly in tandem with the bin collection calendar/rota.
- How do I know which bin needs cleaning?
You can contact Scarborough Borough Council for the bin emptying schedule. We have access to all the bin schedules and we will clean the bin or bins of your choice once a month to match the refuse and recycling collection rotas operated by Scarborough Borough Council. - What if my bin isn’t there for you to clean?
If you’ve not put out your bin for emptying, don’t worry as we’ll make a note for next time.
